I have had my ear bent frequently by a woman telling me that she and her friends were the "good girls" in high school. That kind of chest thumping can become righteously annoying. You needn't have been a bad girl to be irritated, either. That whang whang whang whang we were the good girls, we sat at the good girls table whang whang whang..... oh deliver me!
Why do people feel the need to proclaim their goodness, their wealth, their status, their talent, their anything? Do they believe that this is all they have to offer?
Just for that woman I have pulled up a Bad Girl poster. Too bad she'll never see or read it, though; she's not a reader. :-)
